14 Things to Know About the New Aston Martin Vanquish

You must have heard the whispers, the hopeful murmurs. The legend returns after a long hiatus: a brand-new Aston Martin Vanquish. It is the emblem of British automotive expertise and James Bond’s top pick. The “Vanquish” nameplate is the perfect example of the brand’s legacy in the luxury sports car category, and its comeback has taken the car world by storm. Here’s why!

Aston Martin Vanquish: The Evolution

The Aston Martin Vanquish debuted at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2001, becoming the brand’s new flagship model. It gained widespread fame in 2002 when it appeared in the James Bond film “Die Another Day,” quickly becoming an icon for car enthusiasts and film fans. The Vanquish returned in 2012, replacing the DBS, with a more powerful engine, advanced aerodynamics, and a refined design, further solidifying its status.

In 2017, Aston Martin introduced the Vanquish S, a more potent version with enhanced performance and sharper styling. At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, Aston Martin presented a concept for a new Vanquish as a mid-engine supercar, but it never reached production. However, the nameplate is set to return to the game after six years of discontinuation as the 2025 Aston Martin Vanquish.

What’s All the Hype?

The Aston Martin Vanquish has long been a favorite among luxury car enthusiasts, thanks to its blend of power, elegance, and cinematic fame. When the model was discontinued after the 2018 Vanquish S, it left many fans disappointed, especially those who had hoped to see what new innovations might come next.

However, the buzz around the Vanquish is back, with the announcement of a new 823-hp twin-turbo V-12 2025 model. This upcoming Vanquish returns with a bucketload of excitement, particularly because Aston Martin is poised to revive the nameplate without jumping into the full electrification trend that many other brands are following.

The Brand New Power-Driven Roar

Aston Martin’s 25-year legacy of V12 engines continues with the newly confirmed 2025 Vanquish. This upcoming model is set to uphold the brand’s reputation for powerful, high-performance engines. Equipped with a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12, the 2025 Vanquish is expected to deliver a staggering 823 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque—an impressive increase of around 200 hp from its predecessor. This boost in power comes from several key advancements, including strengthened cylinder blocks and conrods, redesigned intake and exhaust ports, and new cylinder heads. These enhancements promise a new level of performance, solidifying the Vanquish’s place among the most formidable grand tourers.

Seamless Shift and Unmatched Thrill

Aston Martin took the time to propose some out-of-the-box ideas to boost Vanquish’s roar on the road. The new turbochargers have reduced inertia with a higher maximum speed, increasing the airflow to the engine and strengthening the drivetrain. The new fuel injectors have a 10% higher flow rate. Results? The vehicle meets the emission targets despite reaching its peak power.

The transmission is slightly quicker than the DB-12 and Vantage, as a lot of power must pass through the front-engine chassis with an RWD layout. It takes 3.2 seconds to sprint from 0 to 60 mph from a total stop; the eight-speed transmission tackles everything on its own when you are already on the go.

Pushing Boundaries with the Boost Reserve Feature

The new Vanquish has an innovation that may set a benchmark in the automotive industry: the Boost Reserve Feature. It comes into play when the driver needs an instant shot of power. The throttle flap position generally restricts the boost, but when the feature is activated, the flap changes its position to balance the intake flow with the increased intake pressure.

2025 Vanquish: Where Beauty Meets Brawn

The 2025 model will turn heads on the road. Its bold and toned physique accompanies its curvy and broad stance. Its teardrop shape captures the airflow from the front to the rear, significantly impacting the overall performance. The inspiration comes from the company’s motorsport heritage, as the F1-inspired thermos louvers adorn the sculpted bonnet.

The distinctive Kamm Tail reduces drag, and the panoramic glass roof gives a sense of luxury, comfort, and space. Flush-fit door handles and frameless door mirrors improve aerodynamics. It has everything that makes the assertiveness of the red V12 motif and the dramatic rear design with a floating shield panel and LED light blades click into place.

A Cockpit Where Tech Meets Comfort

Aston Martin hasn’t designed this model just to take you places; the cocoon of comfort spoils drivers with heated and ventilated seats, cradling you in serenity after a long day. The dual-zone climate control enables you to adjust the temperature to your whim.

You see a lowered center console offering space and clarity as you sit. It ditches the stitch line across the dashboard with a subtle bright chrome horizon line. It embraces tradition with tactile control in the era of digital control systems—no wonder it immediately catches the driver’s attention and invites them to take the wheel.

Control and Balance Setting New Standards

The 2025 Vanquish is set to challenge rivals with its world-class chassis system. The increased stiffness delivers greater feedback and dynamism, while the responsiveness is owed to the lateral stiffness gains. Whether you seek a compliant ride quality in GT mode or tighter body control in Sport and Sport+ modes, the new Bilstein DTX damper technology makes the changing between drive modes a cinch.

The steering system is precision-focused, and a non-isolated steering column ensures a seamless connection between the driver and the vehicle. The company has recalibrated the Electric Power Assisted Steering System (EPAS) for a refined on-center steering feel, and variable speed-sensitive assistance ensures easy maneuvering.

With the integration of an e-diff to the electronic stability control system, the driving experience is all set to adapt to your every move and anticipate your needs. With the help of predictive technology rooted in cutting-edge algorithms, a smooth is ride possible even at high speeds.

When it’s time to slow down, the Vanquish’s standard Carbon Ceramic Brake system is ready to deliver. It offers increased braking power and reduced fade for unparalleled stopping prowess. But that’s not all— its advanced model-based ABS is constantly adjusting behind the scenes, expertly managing a series of critical systems to keep you safe and in control. Corner Braking 2.0 helps drivers maintain stability while trail braking into the corner.

The interior seems like a fantasy with jaw-dropping infotainment and connectivity features. The 10.25″ TFT driver display works in unison with the Pure Black Touchscreen system for maximum clarity, custom display configurations, and gesture control.

The Aston Martin Mobile app connects to the vehicle and, ultimately, links you to real-time updates about traffic conditions and directions. The same app has digitized every aspect as it helps you track down your vehicle, manage accounts, and connect with the Aston Martin community. Double amplifiers further enhance the sound clarity of the 15-speaker Bowers and Wilkins stereo.

A World Class Safety Guard

The impressive safety features have been the trademark of all the Vanquish models. The adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlamps, traffic sign recognition, and lane-keeping assist have been the highlights of Aston Martin’s safety considerations.

The 2025 Vanquish features automatic emergency braking with a forward collision warning, a 360-degree camera, and a blind-spot warning.

Is it a Fuel Sipper?

The EPA has not estimated this beast’s fuel consumption. However, considering the V12 engine, several driving modes, power adjustments, and mindblowing horsepower, you can’t expect impressive mileage. It can go even lower if you frequently use the Boost Reserve Mode. Everything you want comes at a cost, which might be fuel in the case of the 2025 Vanquish.

Pricing

There has been no final word on the pricing, but the predictions indicate that the new Vanquish will be close to $430,000 as its rival, Ferrari’s new 12 Cilindri, starts at $423,000. To be sure, we have to wait for the official announcement.

Warranty and Repair Coverage

Aston Martin’s warranty policies have never been impressive, as complimentary maintenance is not included in the vehicle’s cost. However, you may get an extended coverage plan for an additional cost. You can also get a limited or powertrain warranty that covers three years or unlimited miles.

The Rivals

The fastback two-door Vanquish will be Ferrari’s and Bentley’s biggest rival. It particularly competes with the new Ferrari 12 Cilindri and the Bentley Continental GT.

Worth it or Not?

Over $400,000 is a considerable price tag, but the reported features make the new Aston Martin Vanquish worth every penny. While it is open for pre-booking, the company is producing only 1,000 units, so you have to make the purchasing decision before Vanquish vanishes.
